How do I obtain a barn / woodshed / chicken coop / house?
You can purchase those items from the Cash Shop. It shows up in your GIFTS as a Gift from the King.
What can I do now that I have purchased a building?
BARN The barn enables you to sell your animals. Please be aware, that currently the sale price of the animals is less than the purchase prices in the Cash Shop. The Barn was released in order for farmers to remove the animals they no longer have room for on their farm.
WOODSHED The woodshed enables you to cut down and sell your mature trees. Once you have cut down a tree you will no longer be able to harvest the fruit every three days as the tree will no longer be on your farm.
CHICKEN COOP The ability for the chicken coop is coming soon.
HOUSES
The ability for houses is a reduction on plowing costs. If you have multiple homes on your farm, the home that gives the greatest amount of discount to plowing cost takes precedence. ie: If you have a Rustic Shack and a Brick House, your plowing cost is reduced by 75%, not 100%.
- Rustic Shack - Reduces plowing cost by 25%
- White House - Reduces plowing cost by 50%
- Yellow House - Reduces plowing cost by 50%
- Stone House - Reduces plowing cost by 75%
- Brick House - Reduces plowing cost by 75%
- Mansion - Reduces plowing cost by 100%
I bought and placed a building but the ability is not working?
After placing your building, you need to refresh your screen for the ability to take effect.
Do I need more than one of any of those buildings?
No, you do not need more than one building for the abilities to work, unless you have:
- more than one farm (i.e. a farm on Server A, B, C, D & E), each farm then needs a building for those abilities to work
- you want to put two buildings together to make a larger building. For example, a lot of farmers will put two barns together to make one large barn.
- even though you only receive the plowing discount from one house, a lot of farmers have multiple houses and have started a mini village.
Do I have to clear land to place a building on myFarm?
Yes you do, you cannot place a building on a plowed or planted tile.
Can a building be moved after placing on myFarm?
Yes, click on the building and the MOVE button will appear. Make sure you refresh your screen first if you just placed the building.
Can I rotate any of the buildings?
No, not at this time.
Can I remove a building or an item like the woodshed from myFarm?
No, not at this time. The developer has spoken about this becoming a reality in the future. No ETA on when this will be. If you have purchased an extra building and it is still sitting in your gift bank, you can place the spare building on one of your other farms. Some people have even hidden buildings behind another building or with trees.
Can I move a building from one farm to another after placing the building?
No, you cannot move buildings between farms on two different servers once they have been placed on one farm. However, you can purchase a building with the money from one farm and place it on another farm since all farms share the same gifts database.
Can I give a building to a friend as a gift?
No, sorry buildings cannot be sent as gifts to friends. It does not take long to be able to afford to purchase buildings, and you can help them by sending trees harvest for farm cash. You can also send your friends $2 USD via PayPal to their PayPal account and they will then be able to purchase credits for their farm. They can then use the credits to purchase buildings or gifts for their farm.
