The issues with Gifts

I tried to sell a tree in my friend's farm and it worked fine. It was sold and it didn't come back after reloading. But me not being able to sell animals and trees means that I can't accept them as gifts and plant them because then I can't get rid of them ( I wanted to plant them only to get a badge ). And I still have problems with accepting gifts, too. But if I'm patient enough and keep refreshing, I can accept the gifts in the end. It's just annoying that it can't be done the first time you try....

I'm also having problems accepting gifts. Many people are. After accepting them we often get a white screen and it takes so many refreshes to progress that we ultimately give up. When I'm finally able to accept gifts, the ones I thought were lost were there, so I haven't gotten gyped out of any.

Regarding items that come back after selling them, I'm having that problem on Server E (I can't sell trees and animals and I can't remove walls). Back in April there was a similar problem on Server D which was supposed to have been fixed, although there are still some people reporting problems on that server as well. See these threads for more information on this annoying problem: can't sell trees or cows and Server E - Problems. Incidentally, I haven't heard of any related problems on Servers A, B and C.

I'm also having problems accepting gifts. Many people are. After accepting them we often get a white screen and it takes so many refreshes to progress that we ultimately give up. When I'm finally able to accept gifts, the ones I thought were lost were there, so I haven't gotten gyped out of any.

I often have the same problem, the white screen showing up while I'm trying to accept gifts. I'm not sure what's causing this. My guess is that Facebook is having problems communicating with the game. If that's the case, there's not much the myFarm developers can do to rectify the situation. All I can suggest is that you try clearing your caches and cookies (for Firefox, IE and Adobe). That may help.

I have found that when I get the white screen, refreshing/reloading the page will eventually take me to the myFarm screen where I can accept all the gifts that have been sent. Just be aware that it can take many screen refreshes/reloads so, unfortunately, you might run out of patience before you get anywhere. If it's any consolation, I haven't gotten gyped out of any gifts yet. When I'm finally able to get past the white screen, all the gifts I thought were lost have always been there waiting to be accepted.

Hmm, I am trying to figure out if this is the right thread to post on. It looks like towards the end it's being used for different things than at the start, but here I go...

A few days ago I bought a bunch of gnomes and placed them on my farm. I estimate 4.
Today I received 6 of them all over again in my gift box. I am absolutely happy, but this is problably not how things should work.
Some things I changed on my computer is that I went to a different browser and reinstalled the toolbar on that browser. Could that have caused this?

Hi Margreet,

Most likely that's what caused it. When you reinstall the toolbar it seems to think you're downloading it for the first time, sending you the "bonus Gnomes" again. The same thing happened to me last year when I was setting everything up on my new computer.
