Hello, fellow MyFarmers!

I'd like to know if anyone has encountered the same problem as me. I started using a new ADSL connection one month or so ago, and I've been having problems with MyFarm since. I use a wireless router with my laptop so I am able to move with my laptop around my place if I need to and the router and my laptop's wireless work great. I have to stress that the "wireless-disconnecting-on-its-own" problem appears ONLY when playing MyFarm. I open the page, start working on my farm and after a few minutes my wireless disconnects (if I'm doing something right at the moment of disconnection, that work is of course gone), stays disconnected for a bit, reconnects and I have to restart Firefox, go back to Facebook and MyFarm and check what work's been saved, continue working on my farm and the problem reappears after a few minutes again, so it's a little frustrating that I have to try to work as fast as possible to have everything done before the wireless disconnects and can't really enjoy the game.

I play other games on FB and haven't had any problems with those. Or with any other pages for that matter. The wireless works great, except for MyFarm application.

Could anyone help? I can play MyFarm but the comfort of playing has been remarkably lower since I've had the wireless connection although I had been looking forward to getting it because my old connection was very slow. So I feel a bit sad that now I have a fast connection but MyFarm has problems with it.

Thank you for any suggestions.

I can guarantee you that its not myFarm doing this per say. I would hazard a guess that its actually an incompatibility between your router and your laptops Wireless card which causes one of the devices to fall over when a certain amount of data is transmitted across it. My Dell Draft N card in my laptop isn't fully compatible with my Wireless-G Linksys router and when I transfer alot across it it can drop the connection, the trigger point isn't low enough that it gets triggered by a flash app but if I try and transfer a file over 800mb in size between computers it drops.

Now the routers that ISP's supply aren't renowned for being the best quality and many ISP cripple them with custom firmware so it may be that which is causing the problem but it could also be the wireless card in the laptop. I would contact your ISP and tell them you aren't happy with the router as its causing problem with your Wireless Card and then ask if they can send you a USB Wireless Dongle thats compatable. If that still doesn't solve it request a new router as it may be a faulty router

I have transferred much more data than MyFarm app does and it didn't happen one single time. On the other hand, it does EVERY time with MyFarm app. My router is a Zyxel and my ISP is known for providing high-quality routers, so I'm sorry but the reason of disconnecting isn't there. I had that checked immediately. I am happy with the router, it works without any problems, unless I open MF app. So imo if it works perfectly everywhere else, with all other apps and pages and it has problems only and only when using one certain app, it can't be a question of bad compatibility, neither a bad wireless card in my laptop.

I was thinking that maybe antivirus could be causing it. But then again, I set it up for MF right from the start. So this problem just seems really odd to me.

Another thought was my browser. I started using FF 3.5.5 not a long time ago. Maybe there's an incompatibility there? That's all I can think of now.

Also I'm NOT bashing MyFarm application, just to clear things out. I love playing it, that's why it makes me sad that I can't play without interruptions.
