We keep hearing from many of you that you want more crop types, however with our development focusing on moving the game forward feature wise its simply not in our budget at this time to commission further crops. Each new crop will cost us in the region of $2,000 USD to have the graphics produced

So how can you the users help us out with that?

Simply put to add another crop type we need your help with fundraising. We are now taking Paypal donations via the forums 'Paid Subscription' feature.

You are making a voluntary donation towards the cost of adding a New Crop type.
You are entitled to no benefits or additional features other than those detailed below
You will be granted access to a new forum. This will grant you the ability to vote on which Item we add (We have whittled the hundreds of suggestions down to a choice of 8)
Your access to this forum will last for the length of the poll.

To donate will depend on how you are reading this.

myFarmcommunity.com Forums: Most of you have a forum account already. You just need to go here (http://myfarmcommunity.com/payments.php). Choose the amount you wish to donate (Ignore the 1 year part, I had to enter a length of time. Its the amount that's important). You can choose from values of $1, 2, 3 ,4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 USD. The amount is totally upto you. The Donation page can also be accessed via the User CP under Miscellaneous>>Paid Subscriptions

This can be done using Facebook Connect (Just click the Connect with Facebook button) or by Clicking register and creating an account. When you have an account you just need to go here (http://myfarmcommunity.com/payments.php).

We can only take donations via Paypal and in USD. Paypal will convert your local currency into USD for you so no worries there

Later on a Donation Progress image will be added to the forum posts and Updated every 24 hours so you can see how we are progressing towards the $2000USD target

What happens when the target is reached?
When the target is reached those who have donated will have 5 days to make sure they have voted. Once this time is up we will take the results and commission the winning crop type. We will look to get it added to the game as quick as possible. Please remember though that these are creative pieces of work so won't be instant

What Happens if more money is raised?
This is up in the air atm BUT it will be used towards bringing a free item to the game. It will really depend on how far the target is smashed. We may leave the donations open and try and reach a second $2000 and then implement the second place choice OR we may look at adding a cheaper Item type (Animal or Tree or Cash Shop Item) which all those who donated will get to vote on again

There has been a couple of requests for high donation levels so a $35 and $50 have been added.

Also as someone else has shown if the exact amount you wish to give isn't available you can donate more than once to give you the exact amount.

Sat 15th August - $250 earned. Thats 12.5% of the required total. Not a bad start but we need to keep the money coming in if we are to make the target.

Remember that every dollar brings us closer to the target so any donation is worthwhile be it $50 or $1. You get your vote on the crop no matter the amount you donate

Sunday 16th August - $352 earned. 17.6% of required total.

As expected the rate was lower today. Still pretty good but we need to keep the rate up

Monday 17th August - $426 earned. 21.3% of required total

We still need more people to donate. A dollar or two from all the regular posters alone will do a world of good

Tuesday 18th August - $926 earned. 46.3% of required total

Nearly at the Half Way point. We knew Xmas trees were popular but the way donations have shot through the roof when Xmas trees are on offer has surprised us.

Thursday 20th August - $1237 earned. 61.85% of the required total

The rates dropped from yesterday by a fair amount however its still above the rate required to have acheived the target by the end of August. The rate however can't drop too much further so if you haven't made your donation yet then get it in now and get your Xmas Trees

Friday 21st August - $1382 earned. 69.1% of required total

If the rate keeps up we should break the 75% mark and then we are in the finishing straight

Saturday 22nd August - $1442 earned. 72.1% of required total

Figure today was marginal below what is needed to reach the target by the end of August. We really need all those who enjoy the game and haven't yet made their donation to do so even if its just a dollar if we are going to reach the target. Over 1.2million of you play daily so the last $600 really shouldn't be that difficult for us to achieve

Sunday 23rd August $1477 earned. 73.85% of required total

I was half way writing about how todays donations were awful and how we were looking at October before the artwork could even be commissioned. However we got a couple more donations as I was writing which have made things better. However today was still not good, it was well below where we need to be.

We are looking at 15 days to reach the target, and then another 7 while you all get your votes in. So guys if haven't donated yet and are reading this then please get those donations in. And if you have friends you know havent donated but who play get them to put their hands in their pocket. There are still something like 99.99% of players who have yet to donate anything and we only need a fraction of these to make the target

Monday 24th August $1492 earned. 74.60% of required total.

Another drop, this time we only made $15. It really need to pick up the pace. I have asked for a game Notification to be sent out to get the word out to people who haven't seen the forums and the fan page so hopefully that will go out soon and we will see another spike but atm its looking a long way off before we get the money for the new crops.

Tuesday 25th August 1579 Earned. 78.95% or required total

A nice improvement after 2 poor days, however it still makes the likelihood of having the required money raised before the end of August unlikely but we may still be able to have the figure raised by the end of the first week of September if donations remain steady

Wednesday 26th August $1775 Earned. 88.75% or required total

Much better today, $196 in the last 24hours. The finishing line is in touch but we can't rest on our laurels if we are to make the target by the end of the month

Thur 27th August - No Updated stats today. Have run into a slight issue with Excel which I have been using to record all the data and produce the stats. Its 2200 here now and I'm not eager to spend all night sorting it so will get to it tomorrow and give you an update tomorrow full of bells, whistles, explosions, car chases & fireworks to make up for it.

What I can say is a quick scan of the donation log and last nights figures it looks like we had another good donation day, but still keep them coming (Especially you new forum users who have ended up here due to the Facebook notification, you guys could really could send the figure into orbit and maybe even allow us to do more than just a single crop)
