notification help

Hey guys and gals. I have looked and looked and am probably just looking in the wrong place, but how do we get our notifications "reset"? i have one notification, a friend request, I have accepted it, but it says I still have that one notifiaction. Any help on this or point me in the right direction? Thanks much

This information is in the FAQ regarding Notications. I have found that once I have clicked on it and viewed whatever I have received, it normally clears the inbox. Live, Love, Farm???

What are Your Notifications?

When you have logged into the board, a link to 'Your Notifications' may be displayed in the 'Welcome' box near the top of the forum. 'Your Notifications' will show if you have any one of the following:

* Unread Private Messages (?)
* Unread Profile Visitor Messages (?)
* Profile Visitor Messages Awaiting Approval
* Incoming Friend Requests (?)
* Requests to Join Your Social Groups (?)
* Invitations to Join Social Groups
* Unread Picture Comments (?)
* Picture Comments Awaiting Approval

By clicking on the 'Your Notifications' link, you will be able to quickly see how many of each type you have received. Clicking on any of the links in the menu will take you to the relevant page within the User Control Panel or elsewhere in the system.

If there are no notifications, then this link will be replaced by a link to 'Private Messages' (?).

Excellent. i thought that once you click it it should "disappear", yet it still is there. I'll explore later on. Thanks much sunshine!

EDIT*** I decided to click on the check all selection even though there was only one request and clicked the heck outta it (must have had great trainig due to doing tomato crops) and it is now gone lol

Just a quick question with (sort of reference to the above) as I used the search and this was the ONLY thing I could find.... and you seem to be a bit of an expert at this forum thingie...

I get a notification at the top of my profile with regards to "Visitor Messages" which is great !

My problem is that once I have viewed the Visitor messages, and left that screen, I then cant go back to them, I cant find them anywhere, I can find "personal messages" but not visitor messages.. The only way I can find them again is if someone sends another one so I get the link back ???

Any ideas ? if so please giz-a-clue....

Your profile which is right under Your Control Panel on the left side

Alternatively, I use the hyperlink (is that the right word??) of my user name in the upper right part of any forum page to take me to my user profile page, where I can see my visitor message(s)...

Thats exactly what I meant - I think I must have clicked on just about everything on my screen (Except my own name! Dohh)..
