Discussion Thread for News/Update Thread myFarm Meet Your New Moderators

Original Message
Last Night 15 people had the chance to change their lives but we controlled their destiny. Live from myFarm HQ this is moderator Idol!

CUE CHEESY THEME MUSIC

In all seriousness, we had a number of excellent applications but only the best could be chosen so myFarm community meet your 7 New mods: -

Baron Benico
farmergirl
Farmin' Foss
Mel
smbeia
Super Moo
and
Teresa

For those of you who missed out, thank you for your application. The choices were made by a peer review system with each moderator rating your application based not only on the application itself but your forum posting. Those whose average score exceeded the magic number were successful those below unsuccessful. The number 1 cause of unsuccessful applicants was simply not enough evidence of the qualities you highlighted in your answers. So we would urge you to keep posting, keep being helpful and next time we request mod applicants reapply. With Development having officially gone back into gear today I wouldn't be too surprised if we look to increase numbers further within the next 2 months.

For the successful people. I am still playing around with your possible assignments, trying to get the right balance on each of the forums is a bit of a juggling act, especially as I am also trying to put a Super Mod in charge of each forum who you will answer directly to. I should have this finalised in the next week when I will then be in contact with you to officially get you started.

Anyway once again congratulations and welcome to the team

Thanks Simon and team.
Hopefully we will all prove ourselves worthy of your decision and keep up the good work.
And learn from the occasional slap on the wrists

Congratulations, I suppose. Moderator seems to be the second most thankless job in the MyFarm world. First most thankless job is Simon's.

Yeah I thought about applying but I decided not to for that very reason.

Nice choices! I haven't been posting long, but those are some of the most lucid and helpful posters...not to mention the most patient.

Yep, definately, we were all new once, and in my first week I think I went on more than a couple of times asking the same questions that had been asked a million times before. :smile1:

Congratulations to all the new moderators! I've just recently joined my Farm, and much of what they have:wink1: posted helped get me off to a good start. I'm sure I speak for most, when I say we appreciate your wisdom of the game, generosities and most of all your patients. Special thanks to farmergirl!:wink1:
