Hi, Suzanne here...

I do not know how to quote a portion of someone's post in my reply. I tried just clicking the "Reply with Quote" button, but it ... didn't work for me the way it seems to for others. My post just contained the original post, in its entirety, with the word "Quote:[]" at both ends of it, not an excerpt of the original post in a cute little colored box.

I read the FAQ's of forum usage, but although this subject was alluded to, it was not explained adequately.

Thank you all for your patience and for helping me to learn how to use this forum.

Just like this... ;)
click the 'quote' button and then when the reply comes up .. delete the part of the quote you do not want, remembering to leave in the 'quote' tags at the beginning and end..

Cheers

Thanks, Sarah!

So, just to make sure I understand, the "Quote" tags... become the pretty colored box once the message is posted?
