View Full Version : Check the url input
I've just been messing about with buying gifts from the cash shop. I noticed when you click to buy something it loads the url:
http://apps.facebook.com/farmgame/shop.pS?caB=19
If I change caB=19 to something not allowed (say caB=99) then all the gifts I bought are no longer available.
I realise that it's my fault for meddling, but you should really prevent this from happening.

are you saying they are no longer available for you to send? no longer available for you to use from your gift bank? no longer available to you in the cash shop? most people would not fool around with something they just paid money for bc they wouldnt want to risk losing it.

The game developer cannot be expected to prevent all eventualities, especially in cases where users are trying to cheat the system. I think you will find that 99% of users of myFarm don't try to change the code to their advantage and therefore never experience any problems in this regard. Live, Love, Farm???

If I bought 5 trees, then editied the URL, all the gifts are missing. Also, anything else I buy from then on doesn't appear in the gifts.

Dude...what inspired you to even try something like this? It's an interesting idea, but I guess it's one to file under "What not to do." :nono:
BTW- is there anything else that you tried that was benificial?
